BOISE, ID – Idaho Fish and Game is inviting artists to submit original artwork for its 2027 durable hard card licenses, giving two selected artists the chance to have their work featured on the collectible licenses used by hunters and anglers across the state. One winning artist will be chosen for a fish species design and one for a wildlife species design, with each receiving $1,000.

According to Fish and Game, artists are being asked to create work featuring one of the following Idaho species: cutthroat trout, steelhead, pronghorn, mule deer or Geronimo the parachuting beaver. Entries are due by midnight Mountain Daylight Time on Aug. 31 and must be submitted by email to idfgmarketing@idfg.idaho.gov. There is no limit on the number of submissions.

Submitted designs must be horizontal, sized at 17 by 11 inches with a .125-inch bleed, and formatted at a minimum of 300 dpi in CMYK color. Accepted file types include .psd, .eps, .ai and high-print-quality PDF files. Artists selected for the hard card project must also be willing to sign a professional service agreement allowing the artwork to be used on licenses and in promotional materials.
