POCATELLO, ID — A Montana man who had been reported missing recently has been found deceased at a southeastern Idaho state park.
According to the Power County Sheriff’s Office, Kee Ray Begay Jr., 53, was located deceased at Massacre Rocks State Park. The investigation remains ongoing, and no further details are being released at this time.
Begay, who was from Montana, was last known to have spoken with his wife on December 21, 2025. Law enforcement agencies later pinged his cellphone, which indicated it was near Interstate 86 westbound around milepost 28 in Power County.
Authorities said Begay was believed to be driving a black 2014 Dodge Avenger with Arizona license plates. He was also reported to be diabetic and without his medication at the time he was reported missing.
The missing-person report was handled by the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office.
Search and recovery efforts involved multiple agencies, including Power County Search and Rescue, Power County EMS, Massacre Rocks State Park staff, the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office, and Bingham County Search and Rescue.
The case remains under investigation.
