CLARKSTON, WA – A 60-year-old Clarkston man was arrested Saturday morning following a traffic stop that concluded a months-long investigation into suspected drug trafficking.
According to a media release issued Jan. 12, Stephen Brazwell was taken into custody just outside of Clarkston. Law enforcement officials said the arrest followed several months of investigation and prior interactions with Brazwell.
Authorities reported that Brazwell had been contacted by law enforcement on two separate occasions in October 2025 in Lewiston. During those encounters, officers seized methamphetamine and several thousand dollars in cash. Investigators continued to examine Brazwell’s suspected connection to illegal drug trafficking, which ultimately led to the traffic stop on Saturday.
Brazwell was booked into the Asotin County Jail, where he faces charges related to possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
Law enforcement officials stated that the investigation involved collaborative efforts by local agencies aimed at addressing illicit drug trafficking and maintaining public safety in the region.
