GREENWOOD, IN – Juliauna Forgach Aguilar concluded her historic tenure at LC State with the highest honor a student-athlete can earn. The senior became the third Warrior Volleyball player in program history, and first since 2018, to be voted a CSC Academic All-American. Forgach Aguilar is one of seven to earn first-team honors.
The Morenci, Ariz., native was voted to the prestigious group, that features two seven-player teams, out of a ballot of 82 NAIA volleyball players. She graduated from LC State in the fall with a degree in sports management and a 3.93 grade point average and was named the first Cascade Conference Communications Intern in conference history.
“Juliauna being named a CSC First-Team Academic All-American is an extraordinary achievement and a proud moment for our entire institution,” coach Katie Palmer said. “This recognition speaks volumes about her discipline and relentless work ethic. It also speaks volumes about the faculty and staff here at LC State who enthusiastically support student-athletes to succeed. Overall, Juliauna sets the standard for what it means to be a Warrior: excelling in the classroom, competing at the highest level on the court, and contributing to her community with great humility and consistency.”
Forgach Aguilar was named to the CSC Academic All-District team in December and advanced to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. To be named CSC Academic All-District, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in standing and maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average. Student-athletes must participate in 90 percent of the institution’s contests played or must start in at least 66% of the institution’s contests.
“I am extremely honored to receive this award; being a student-athlete here at LC State has come with nothing but endless opportunities to grow,” Forgach Aguilar said. “I have always valued academics alongside my passion for the game; however, I wouldn’t have been able to achieve such an award without the motivation and support from my parents and my coaches. It’s never about where you start but where you finish, and I am beyond grateful to end my career with this award and my journey here at LC State. All glory to God.”
Forgach Aguilar will leave LC State as one of the most prolific offensive threats in program history. With 1,343 kills to her name, the senior ranks fifth all-time at LC State in that category and her name is dotted throughout the single match and single season records. The outside hitter was second in the conference with 3.96 kills per set in 2025. She was third in the CCC in total kills with 384 and has had a career season at the net with 69 total blocks. Forgach Aguilar averaged 4.36 points per set and 1.10 digs per set.
Her 2025 season ranks second all-time in kills per set and fifth in points per set. She leaves LC State second all-time in total points with 1,465. Forgach Aguilar ends her career as a three-time AVCA All-Region honoree, three-time First-Team All-Cascade Conference member and three-time Cascade Conference Attacker of the Week. She also found success off the court as a three-time CSC Academic All-District honoree, NAIA Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-CCC member. She was voted to the NAIA All-America Third Team this season.
Forgach Aguilar joins Aubrey King (2018) and Angela Igoe (2001) as the only LC State Volleyball players to be voted to the prestigious group. Cascade Conference players Kiauna Mack (Eastern Oregon) and Kaile’a Ontai (Corban) also earned the honor this season.
