Failure to Register as Sex Offender Leads to Arrest in Kooskia

KOOSKIA, ID – A Kooskia man was arrested Tuesday morning after an investigation determined he failed to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

According to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was dispatched to a residence in Kooskia at approximately 8 a.m. on Jan. 13, 2026, to investigate a reported failure to register as a sex offender. Deputies were advised by the Idaho Sex Offender Registry that Rickey Dale Adams had not completed his annual registration as required under Idaho law.

During contact with Adams, deputies confirmed he had not complied with the registration requirements. Adams, 64, of Kooskia, was arrested for failure to register as a sex offender.

The sheriff’s office said the arrest reflects ongoing efforts to enforce sex offender registration laws, which are intended to ensure accurate monitoring of registered offenders and protect community safety.

Adams was booked into the Idaho County Jail.
