MOSCOW, ID — The Auditorium Chamber Music Series will present the Viano Quartet in concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at the University of Idaho Administration Building Auditorium.
The Viano Quartet, recipients of a 2025 Avery Fisher Career Grant, features violinists Lucy Wang and Hao Zhou, violist Aiden Kane and cellist Tate Zawadiuk. The ensemble has earned national recognition for its chamber performances .
In addition to the evening concert, the quartet will offer free public master classes, including high- and low-string sessions at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, and a composition master class at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, in the Lionel Hampton School of Music building .
Two free public concerts are also scheduled in Moscow: an educational concert at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 22 at the Moscow Public Library, and a Children’s Rug Concert for ages 3–5 at 9 a.m. Jan. 23 at the 1912 Center Lecompte Auditorium .
Tickets for the Jan. 23 performance are $25 general admission, $20 for seniors, $10 for University of Idaho students, and free for children 12 and under. Tickets are available online, at the Bruce M. Pitman Center box office, or at the door prior to the concert .
The Auditorium Chamber Music Series has presented visiting ensembles on the University of Idaho campus since 1986 .
