LC State moves Homecoming celebration to spring dates in April

LEWISTON, ID — Lewis-Clark State College will move its annual Homecoming celebration from fall to spring beginning this year, with events scheduled for April 20–25.

College officials said the change allows Homecoming programming to align with LC State Warriors baseball, a nationally recognized program with 19 national championships. The shift is also expected to build on growing campus momentum after the college surpassed 4,000 students for the first time in its history during the fall semester.

“LC State is on the rise and Warrior baseball is an incredibly important part of its culture and history,” LC State President Cynthia Pemberton said in a statement. “Homecoming in the spring will help us continue to build on the growing school pride we see in alumni, on campus, and in the community.”

This year’s Homecoming theme is “Glow Up.” As in previous years, student-focused activities will take place earlier in the week, with alumni, community, and public events increasing toward the weekend.

As part of the celebration, the Warriors will host Warner Pacific for four baseball games — two doubleheaders — on April 24 and 25 at Harris Field.

Clearwater River Casino & Resort is the title sponsor for this year’s Homecoming. Additional details and a full schedule of events are expected to be released closer to the celebration and will be available through the college’s Homecoming webpage.
