WSU Tests Emergency Alert Systems on All Campuses Jan. 21

PULLMAN, WA – Washington State University will conduct its semester test of the WSU Alert system on all statewide campuses on Wednesday, January 21.

Each location will be tested at a different time, approximately one hour apart. Faculty, staff, and students who have updated their notification information should receive text messages, phone calls or emails clearly identified as a test.

During an actual event, WSU will activate appropriate components of the system to alert people to assess their individual circumstances and take safety precautions.

The WSU Alert system spreads information via email, text messages, telephone, the Alert website, and other means to notify the campus population of emergencies or threatening situations.

You can update your emergency contact information by following the steps at WSU Confluence.
