Seven Convicted in Idaho Child Exploitation Cases Sentenced to Prison

BOISE, ID – Seven individuals have been sentenced to prison following convictions in child exploitation cases, Attorney General Raúl Labrador announced. The sentences were handed down as part of enforcement efforts by the Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit.

Those sentenced include Joseph Bingham, 25, Cristian Escalera-Maldonado, 32, Trustin McMurphy, 24, Matthew Dudley, 39, Francisco Zamora, 62, Terry Lee Doughty, 68, and Donovan Dillon, 23.

Joseph Bingham of Ada County received a total of 20 years in prison, with 2.5 years fixed, after pleading guilty to distributing child sexual abuse material. Cristian Escalera-Maldonado of Bonneville County was sentenced to 12 years for sexually abusing multiple minors and providing them alcohol and marijuana.

Trustin McMurphy, also of Bonneville County, received 15 years for possessing sexually exploitative material involving children as young as two years old. Matthew Dudley was sentenced to 30 years for possessing approximately 2,000 files of child sexual abuse material.

Francisco Zamora of Canyon County received a 45-year sentence, enhanced due to a prior conviction, for possessing hundreds of files depicting sexual abuse of children. Terry Lee Doughty and Donovan Dillon, both of Canyon County, were sentenced to 10 years each for possessing child sexual abuse material.

Attorney General Labrador commended the ICAC Unit and local law enforcement partners for their work. “Their hard work and dedication is resulting in the arrest and sentencing of dangerous criminals from our communities and ensuring children across our state are safer,” he said.
