UNIONTOWN, WA – An art exhibit featuring metal sculptures by Moscow, Idaho, artist Shelly Gilmore is set to open this week at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown.
The exhibit, titled Rust Re-imagined, will run from Feb. 5 through March 29 and will feature 25 metal sculptures created from reclaimed and discarded materials. According to the organization, the works transform rusted scrap metal into decorative and whimsical pieces, with each sculpture designed as a one-of-a-kind creation.
One piece, Dillard and Dolly, has been donated by Gilmore for a raffle to help support programming at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn.
The exhibit will be free and open to the public. Artisans at the Dahmen Barn, a nonprofit art organization, is located at 419 N. Parkway in Uniontown and is open Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. More information is available through the organization.
