KOOSKIA, ID — Two Kamiah residents were arrested on alleged drug-related charges following a traffic stop in Kooskia on the evening of Feb. 2, according to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office reported that at approximately 7:15 p.m., an Idaho County deputy was conducting traffic enforcement on Main Street when a vehicle stopped abruptly in a pullout near Broadway Avenue. The deputy stopped to check on the vehicle and its occupants.
During the contact, a K9 unit arrived on scene, and the dog alerted to the vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.
April Ellenberg, 46, of Kamiah, was arrested on alleged charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Matthew Ellenberg, 32, also of Kamiah, was arrested on alleged charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was additionally cited for misdemeanor failure to display insurance and an infraction for fictitious display of license plates.
