WEIPPE, ID — Clearwater County deputies responded Wednesday afternoon to a reported attempted break-in at a residence on Poppy Lane where juveniles were inside the home.

According to the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched around 12:12 p.m. on Feb. 4 after receiving a report of an individual attempting to enter the residence. The individual reportedly fled the area on foot before deputies arrived.

Deputies searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the suspect. As of Tuesday evening, the individual remained outstanding.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information related to the incident to contact Clearwater County law enforcement. No additional details about the suspect or potential charges were released.

The incident remains under investigation.
