LEWISTON, ID – A 50-year-old Lewiston man has been charged with multiple felonies after investigators alleged he sexually abused a child, possibly over a period of years.
Jeremy J. Seykoski was arrested Thursday following an investigation that began after Washington Child Protective Services contacted Lewiston police in December to report allegations of sexual abuse involving a minor. The allegations were later disclosed during a forensic interview conducted at the Child Advocacy Center in Lewiston.
According to an affidavit filed by the Nez Perce County Prosecutor’s Office, the child reported repeated inappropriate sexual conduct beginning as early as 2022 while living at Seykoski’s residence. The affidavit states the child identified Seykoski as a step-grandfather and said the alleged conduct occurred at both the residence and a local business.
Investigators wrote that the child disclosed the abuse during a forensic interview this week.
On Thursday, detectives conducted a traffic stop and detained Seykoski after observing a handgun and ammunition inside the vehicle, according to the affidavit. Investigators later executed a search warrant at his Lewiston residence, where they located and seized an AR-15 style rifle and additional evidence.
Court documents state Seykoski told investigators he was not legally allowed to possess firearms due to a prior felony conviction. He also later denied inappropriate conduct with the child and requested an attorney, ending the interview.
Detectives also seized numerous electronic devices from the residence as part of the investigation.
Seykoski has been charged with one count of lewd conduct with a child under sixteen and two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. All charges are felonies.
He was booked into the Nez Perce County Jail. Seykoski appeared in court on Friday and bond was set at $500,000.
