CLARKSTON, WA — Clarkston High School is recognizing Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month with hands-on learning and a community career showcase.
February is nationally recognized as CTE Month. As part of the observance, 68 students in the school’s CTE programs toured local businesses on Feb. 20, connecting classroom instruction to real-world careers. Students explored fields including manufacturing, aviation, marketing, and restaurant management.

Participating sites included Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport, CCI Speer, Brava’s and Brock’s, Pat’s Garden Center, TriState Health, Custom Weld and Riverview Marina, and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories.
The celebration continues Feb. 24 with “Clarkston Career ConneCTEd,” set for 5–7 p.m. in the Adams building at the high school. The event invites community members, business leaders, and parents to learn more about the school’s CTE programs.
