LEWISTON, ID – The City of Lewiston has contracted with Kenaston, Leone & Keeble Group, LLC to replace a water transmission main in downtown Lewiston.

Construction is scheduled to begin the week of March 9, 2026, on 3rd Street between D Street and Beachey Street. That phase of the project is expected to be completed in mid-April. Crews will then move to D Street, from 1st Street to 3rd Street, with work anticipated to wrap up in June 2026.

During construction, 3rd Street will be closed, D Street will be reduced to one travel lane, and parking will be limited as work progresses.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

City officials note that unforeseen conditions could affect the timeline and are asking for the public’s patience and cooperation during the infrastructure improvement project.
