MOSCOW, ID – One person is in custody following a domestic dispute on Carmichael Road near Moscow that prompted a large law enforcement response starting around 6:00 am on March 9. Carmichael Road has since reopened to traffic.
The Latah County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Moscow Police Department, Pullman Police Department, WSU Police Department, and Whitman County Sheriff’s Office (including SWAT officers), responded to the scene.
The road was closed to traffic for several hours, with residents directed to use Palouse River Drive or Lenville Road to Highway 8 as alternate routes.
As of 1:25 pm, the Sheriff’s Office confirmed one person was taken into custody. The investigation remains active, and no further details have been released.
