CONCRETE, WA — Deputies with the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office located human remains in the Skagit River on Thursday during a boat search near milepost 90, just east of the town of Concrete.
According to the sheriff’s office, detectives remained at the scene processing the area as the investigation continues. The Skagit County Coroner’s Office will conduct the formal identification of the remains at a later time.
Authorities say the case remains an active investigation and are asking the public to avoid the area while investigators work.
