PULLMAN, WA — Washington State University has named Terri Parr Wynecoop as its permanent executive director and presidential liaison for Tribal relations, moving her out of an interim role she has held since December 2025.
Parr will continue leading the university’s government-to-government relationships with Native American Tribes and overseeing the Office of Tribal Relations. She reports directly to the university president and represents WSU in Tribal engagement and consultation efforts.
An Elder and member of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, Parr has served in a liaison role with WSU since 2023 following nearly two decades working with the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians. University officials said her appointment supports continued partnership with Tribal Nations and strengthens WSU’s commitments as a land-grant institution.
