MOSCOW, ID – The Latah County Commissioners on Tuesday extended an emergency disaster declaration for last weekend’s flood.
Commissioner Chair Tom Lamar issued the disaster declaration on Friday. The flooding included Paradise Creek in Moscow reaching a new record high.
During Tuesday’s meeting the commissioners were informed about flood damage on the Latah Trail and the levee in Kendrick on the Potlatch River. The Potlatch River hit a new record high flood level of nearly 18 feet on Saturday morning. That broke the old record set in 2017.
