Chuck Norris Dies at Age 86

LOS ANGELES, CA – Chuck Norris, the martial artist, actor, and television star known for roles in films such as Return of the Dragon and Missing in Action, and the long-running series Walker, Texas Ranger, has died, his family announced Friday morning.

In a statement shared on Norris’ official Facebook page, the family said he passed away Thursday morning. They asked for privacy regarding the circumstances of his death but noted he was surrounded by family and at peace.

“To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family,” the statement read. The family also highlighted Norris’ faith, purpose, and commitment to his loved ones, saying he inspired millions through his work, discipline, and kindness.

The statement acknowledged the outpouring of support from fans and thanked them, saying, “To him, you were not just fans, you were his friends.” The family requested continued privacy as they grieve.

Various reports indicate Norris had been hospitalized in Hawaii following a medical emergency.

Norris, 86, became a cultural icon through his action films and the popular TV series Walker, Texas Ranger, which aired from 1993 to 2001.
