LEWISTON, ID — The 42nd annual Art Under the Elms is set to return April 17–19 on the campus of Lewis-Clark State College, bringing together artists, performers and food vendors for a three-day community event.
Organizers say this year’s festival will feature around 100 artisan vendors offering a range of handcrafted goods, including ceramics, jewelry, paintings, textiles and glasswork. Attendees will also have opportunities to participate in artist-led workshops.
More than 10 food vendors are expected to be on site, along with coffee options and a variety of regional fare. Live entertainment is scheduled throughout the weekend, with performances by groups and artists including The Flinns, a Nashville-based Americana-country duo, along with several regional acts.
Additional activities will include author readings and signings, as well as a hands-on art activity tent designed for children and families.
Festival hours are noon to 7 p.m. on April 17, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 18, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 19. The event is free and open to the public.
Art Under the Elms is hosted by the college’s Center for Arts & History and will take place ahead of LC State’s Homecoming celebration scheduled for April 20–25.
