Lewiston Man Arrested Following Vehicle Versus Pedestrian Crash

LEWISTON – On Saturday, February 4, around 10:52 p.m., Lewiston Police responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash in a parking lot near the 1900 block of 9th Ave. Officers determined that 36-year-old Jonathan Evans, of Lewiston, had attempted to leave a party in his pickup truck after he allegedly instigated a physical dispute.

According to the LPD press release, a 41-year-old female reportedly told Evans he was too intoxicated to drive and tried to prevent him from leaving in his vehicle; she was standing near the driver side door. Evans proceeded to run over the female as he was driving through the parking lot. The female victim was transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

Evans was arrested for aggravated driving under the influence of
alcohol, a felony.
