ATHOL – The Idaho State Police are investigating a single-vehicle serious injury crash that occurred on July 1st, 2023. The crash occurred near northbound US 95 milepost 444 in Kootenai County, Idaho at approximately 10:40 p.m.
A 1940’s model Plymouth being driven by a 47-year-old male of Athol, ID, struck a bear before veering off the roadway. The vehicle rolled and the male was subsequently ejected. The vehicle did not have seat belts.
The driver was transported to a local hospital.
This crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
