MOSCOW, Idaho — Oct. 12, 2023 — A community watch party for the annular solar eclipse is planned from 8 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, on the Theophilus Tower lawn at University of Idaho.
Prime viewing time is between 8:45 and 10 a.m. with the maximum eclipse at approximately 9:23 a.m. Cloudy weather will cancel the event.
Faculty and students from the U of I College of Science and Department of Physics will be on hand to answer questions. Eclipse glasses will be available. Participants should bring chairs or blankets and water if desired.
