On 11/26/2023 at approximately 9:48 am, deputies with the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Timber Ridge Road after it was reported that human remains were discovered. A group of local hunters were on their private property when they located the remains. KCSO Detectives and the Kootenai County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene to investigate.

The remains appeared to have been there for many months. At this time the identity of the remains and cause of death are unknown. Further information will be available as the investigation progresses.
