LEWISTON –The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, is banning all forms of rock climbing beyond the buck-and-rail fence on “River Run” trail in Hells Gate Habitat Management Unit, beginning June 1.

This ban is an effort to protect cultural resources and ensure public safety. Once the ban is in place, it will be enforced by USACE park rangers.
