Fall Leaf Collection Information for Moscow Residents

(Moscow, ID) As leaves begin to fall, the City of Moscow would like to remind residents to keep leaves and other debris out of the streets to help prevent clogging of the stormwater conveyance system. Leaves can block storm drains or clog pipes in the system which can lead to localized flooding. Decaying leaves can also lead to increased nutrient loads in our local water ways because stormwater flows directly into them.

The City of Moscow offers residents two options to assist with fall leaf clean-up:

  1. Drop-Off: Residents may bring their leaves to the 24-hour Yard Waste drop-off site located on N. Almon St., directly behind Moscow Recycling, at any time.
  2. Scheduled Pick-Up: Residents who are unable to take their leaves to the yard waste drop-off site can schedule for pick-up service from Inland North Waste on November 9th or November 30th. Residents must call Inland North Waste at (208) 882-5724 by 12 pm at least 2 days before their desired pick-up date.

Information regarding fall leaf collection and other City of Moscow Sanitation programs can be found on the City of Moscow website. Additional questions may be directed to Tim Davis, Sanitation Operation Manager, at (208) 883-7131.
