(Pierce, ID) Idaho State Police responded to a fatal crash that occurred on Tuesday, at approximately 1:30 p.m. on State Highway 11, near French Mountain Road in Clearwater County.
According to police, a 2005 Buick Century, driven by a 65-year-old female from Weippe, was traveling northbound on Highway 11 when the Buick crossed left of center and collided with a 2016 GMC Sierra. The GMC Sierra was driven by a 55-year-old male from Pierce.  The Pierce man was was transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital. The driver of the Buick Century succumbed to her injuries on scene.
The highway was shut down for approximately 2 hours while first responders investigated the scene.  The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
