Woman Dies at Scene of Crash on Southern Idaho Interstate

TWIN FALLS, ID – Idaho State Police are investigating a one vehicle fatality crash that occurred on Monday night.

According to police, a 29-year-old female, of Twin Falls, was driving a 2000 Subaru Legacy westbound Interstate 84 at milepost 147, in Gooding County.   At about 11:41 p.m. on Monday, the woman reportedly drove off of the left shoulder, overcorrected, then drove across the westbound lanes and the off-ramp, where the vehicle rolled and came to rest north of the interstate.

The woman was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash.

The westbound 147 off-ramp was blocked for approximately three and a half hours.

Idaho State Police were assisted by Gooding Sheriff’s Office, Wendell Fire Department, Gooding EMS, and Air St. Lukes.

The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
