LEWISTON, ID – The Lewiston Fire Department has announced recent promotions and the hiring of a new full-time firefighter.

Kyler Nilsson, who joined the department as a reserve firefighter in 2013, has been promoted to captain and is now assigned to B-Shift at Station 2. Jacob Waits, a reserve firefighter since 2019, has been promoted to engineer and is assigned to B-Shift on Engine 72.

Additionally, Turner Webb, who began as a reserve firefighter in 2023, has been hired as a full-time firefighter and is also assigned to B-Shift.

The department recognized the professionalism and dedication of these individuals and encouraged the community to join in congratulating them.
