NEW ORLEANS, LA – No. 5 William Carey (Miss.) snapped the LC State Men’s Tennis win streak at five matches with a 7-0 sweep of the Warriors on Friday at the Xavier/Dillard Invitational.

Austin Swing and Pablo Herrera battled to a 7-6 (7-3) loss in the top doubles spot as the Crusaders won the doubles point.

Nell Rollin pushed his No. 3 singles match to three sets in his loss. He won the second set 7-5 but dropped the match by scores of 6-4, 5-7, 6-2.

Moreira forced extra play in his second set loss at No. 2 singles. He lost his matchup 6-2, 7-6 (7-3).

Freshman Gautam Balakrishnan picked up seven games in his fifth singles match before falling 6-4, 6-3.
