LEWISTON, ID –  The Lewiston Fire Department has announced the promotion of Reserve Firefighter Joe Evangelho to a fulltime position.

Evangelho joined the department in April 2024 and previously served with the North Central Fire Protection District in Fresno, California. He is currently completing his final clinical rotations to earn his paramedic certification.

“Firefighter Evangelho exemplifies the high moral character and dedication we seek in our personnel—qualities that define those who answer the call to serve,” said Fire Chief Greg Rightmier.

The department stated it looks forward to Evangelho’s continued growth and contributions to the community.
