
CLARKSTON, WA – Emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning after a car collided with a power pole on Dustan Loop in Clarkston.
The crash was reported shortly after 3:30 a.m., according to Asotin County Fire District #1. Upon arrival, rescue personnel found a vehicle with significant damage and a sheared-off power pole, with power lines down across the roadway.
The driver of the vehicle reported no injuries and declined medical treatment at the scene.
Avista Utilities responded to repair the damaged infrastructure. The section of Dustan Loop near the crash site was closed while crews worked to replace the pole and restore power. Avista estimated the restoration process would take approximately four to five hours.
The Asotin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
