A mechanical issue with the drill used to install soil nails and mesh to stabilize the slide slope created a delay earlier this week. However, repairs were completed on the drill and work resumed early Tuesday.

Despite good progress after the mechanical issue, it is uncertain when a lane through site can be safely opened. Additional updates and information on progress will be shared here as it becomes available.

Please drive carefully if you choose to take one of the detours, as there is increased traffic on these roads due to the slide on the Selway.
