Clarkston Man Facing Felony Burglary Charges After Alleged Walmart Theft

CLARKSTON, WA — A Clarkston man is facing burglary charges following an alleged theft incident at Walmart earlier this month.

According to court documents, Jeremy Allan Page, 46, was arrested on May 14 in connection to a reported theft that occurred at the Clarkston Walmart store on May 8.

Officers responded to the store around 7:22 p.m. after receiving a report of a theft in progress. The suspect, later identified as Page, allegedly concealed merchandise inside a backpack and left the store on a bicycle. Items reported stolen included a black Ozark Trail backpack, a butane torch, and approximately $87 worth of sports cards, with a total value of $115.38, according to the report.

Asset protection personnel at Walmart provided officers with photographs of the suspect, who was identified by police as Jeremy Page. Page was already flagged as trespassed from the store due to prior incidents, the report states.

Officers attempted to locate Page in the area but were initially unsuccessful. Based on information from witnesses and prior contacts, officers believed Page may have been hiding in a foreclosed residence on 9th Street. Officers searched the location but did not find the suspect.

Page was located on May 14.  During the encounter, Page admitted to being trespassed from Walmart but denied stealing any items, claiming he had paid for them.

Because he had been previously trespassed from the store, Page was placed under arrest for felony burglary in the second degree and transported to the Asotin County Jail.

Burglary in the second degree is a class B felony under Washington law, which applies when an individual unlawfully enters or remains in a building with the intent to commit a crime.

An initial arraignment has been scheduled for June 2.
