MOSCOW, ID – A 51-year-old Moscow man has pleaded guilty to kidnapping his ex-girlfriend and locking her in a storage unit.

Michael Dahl pleaded guilty as charged to 2nd degree felony kidnapping in Latah County Second District Court on Monday. He was arrested by Moscow Police in late March after officers responded to a report of a woman screaming from inside a storage unit at an apartment complex on 3rd Street.

Police found the door screwed shut and had to force the door open to free the woman.

Dahl locked her in the unit while she was doing laundry and screwed the door shut and threatened to shave her face off. She was locked in the unit for about an hour.

Dahl is set to be sentenced in July.
