COEUR D’ALENE – A 47-year-old Coeur d’Alene man has been sentenced to prison for drug trafficking offenses following an investigation by the Coeur d’Alene Police Department.
Aaron Clint Jewett was convicted of Delivery and Possession of Methamphetamine With Intent to Deliver after officers used a confidential informant to purchase meth from him in January and March of 2025. Based on those transactions, law enforcement secured a search warrant for Jewett’s residence, where they found additional methamphetamine, digital scales, and zip lock baggies.
Both charges are felonies and each carries a maximum penalty of life in prison.
Jewett was sentenced on May 3, 2025, by District Judge Lamont Berecz to a unified 12-year sentence, with eligibility for parole after two and a half years. The prosecution had recommended parole eligibility after four years.
Jewett’s prior criminal record includes convictions for DUI, possession of controlled substances, providing false identification, and inattentive driving.
