CLARKSTON, WA – A 45-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon after allegedly re-entering the Clarkston Walmart while previously trespassed and leaving the store with unpaid merchandise.
Lisa M. Pemberton was taken into custody by the Clarkston Police Department on June 5 following a report from Walmart’s loss prevention team. Officers responded to the store around 12:01 p.m. after staff reported that Pemberton had returned to the premises, despite an active trespass order dating back to July 2024.
According to the police report, store staff witnessed Pemberton exit the store with items she claimed to have purchased. Loss prevention employees said she attempted to check out a second batch of items at a self-checkout kiosk, but no transaction was recorded on the store’s system.
After reviewing security footage and speaking with Pemberton, officers determined she exited the store with $96.73 worth of unpaid merchandise. Video reportedly showed her walking past all points of sale without scanning or paying for the items.
According to police, Pemberton acknowledged she had previously been trespassed from the store but claimed she forgot about the restriction.
Pemberton was arrested and transported to the Asotin County Jail. She faces charges of second-degree burglary, third-degree theft, and first-degree criminal trespass.
