Man Arrested with Methamphetamine and Paraphernalia Following Traffic Stop South of Grangeville

GRANGEVILLE, ID – A traffic stop on the evening of June 5 led to the arrest of a man on drug charges south of Grangeville.

According to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy stopped a vehicle at approximately 9:45 p.m. on U.S. Highway 95 near milepost 239 for operating without headlights. K9 Rip and his handler responded to the scene, and the K9 alerted on the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The driver, identified as 31-year-old Kyle Connell, was taken into custody for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.

The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office notes that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
