Meth Discovered During Grangeville Traffic Stop; Suspect Faces Multiple Felony Charges

GRANGEVILLE, ID – A routine traffic stop in Grangeville led to the discovery of methamphetamine and the arrest of a 39-year-old man on numerous felony and misdemeanor charges, according to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 11:15 p.m. on June 6, an Idaho County deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. K9 Millie was deployed during the stop and alerted on the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

The driver, Tyler Taylor, was arrested and is facing multiple charges, including felony possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and failure to update sexual offender registration. Additional misdemeanor charges include possession of paraphernalia, concealment of evidence, driving under the influence, driving without privileges, and a second offense of driving without insurance.

The Sheriff’s Office noted that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
