Oklahoma City Thunder beat Indiana Pacers 120-109 in Game 5 win

The Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Indiana Pacers 120-109 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Monday, moving them only one win away from winning the franchise’s first ever title.

Jalen Williams scored a career playoff-high 40 points, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 31 to combine for over 70 points between them; Williams was 14 of 24 from the field, and Gilgeous-Alexander added 10 assists.

Thunder coach Mark Daigneault said after the game: “It wasn’t a perfect game at all and there’s a lot of room for growth. But our improvement from Game 4 to Game 5 was critical.”

Game 6 will take place in Indiana on Thursday, June 19 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
