PASCO, WA – A 23-year-old man was killed Friday morning in a head-on collision on Pasco Kahlotus Road near Milepost 3 in Central Washington, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. on June 20, 2025, and involved a Ford F-250 pickup and an Acura RSX coupe. Preliminary reports indicate the vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when the Ford crossed the center line and struck the Acura.

The driver of the Acura, identified as Paulo Yepez-Perez of Pasco, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been notified.

The driver of the Ford was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Authorities say there is no indication that drugs or alcohol were contributing factors. The Ford driver told investigators a tire blowout caused him to lose control of the vehicle.
