BURBANK, WA – A small fire broke out at Hood Park in southeastern Washington on Friday, June 27, 2025, prompting a rapid response from the Pasco Fire Department. The blaze, which affected approximately 0.14 acres of vegetation, was extinguished within an hour.
According to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District, no injuries or structural damage occurred. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
Existing fire prevention measures at the park, including signage prohibiting fireworks and open flames, remain in effect. Authorities continue to urge the public to follow all posted fire restrictions during dry summer conditions.
