MOSCOW, ID – Moscow City Attorney Mia Bautista has been named the 2025 recipient of the Idaho Municipal Attorneys (IMA) Pillar of the Community Award. The honor was presented at the IMA’s annual summer conference held June 13 in Boise.
The award recognizes municipal attorneys who have demonstrated long-term dedication and service to a single community. Bautista has served as the City Attorney for Moscow since March 2018, becoming the first woman to hold the position in the city’s history.
Prior to joining the City of Moscow, Bautista worked as a Deputy Prosecutor for 16 years—10 in Nez Perce County and six in Latah County. She is a graduate of the University of Idaho College of Law and currently serves on the Idaho State Bar’s Character and Fitness Committee.
Bautista has also contributed her expertise to the Idaho Council on Domestic Violence and Victims Assistance and volunteered as an instructor for the FBI’s Digital Evidence Moot Court Program.
