Unclaimed $1 Million Idaho Lottery Ticket Expires; Funds Revert to State Programs

BOISE, ID – A $1 million prize from the Idaho Lottery’s $1,000,000 Raffle this past winter has officially gone unclaimed. According to lottery officials, the winning ticket — number 063647 — expired on Monday, June 30, 2025.

The ticket was sold at a retail location in Star, Idaho. Under state law, the Idaho Lottery is now unable to pay the prize.

Unclaimed prizes are returned to the Idaho Lottery’s beneficiaries, including public schools and the Department of Administration’s Permanent Building Fund, which supports infrastructure projects at Idaho colleges and universities. On average, approximately $5 million in Idaho Lottery winnings go unclaimed each year.

This is only the third time a $1 million prize has gone unclaimed in the state. The last two occurred in 2010 and 2012, both for Powerball tickets sold in Irwin and Meridian, respectively.

Lottery officials remind players that they have 180 days from the date of the draw or the end of a game to claim their winnings.

This year’s $1,000,000 Raffle generated more than $1.6 million in dividend revenue for Idaho public schools and state buildings.
