RIGGINS, ID – A man has been arrested following an incident in Riggins in which a vehicle reportedly drove onto a sidewalk, forcing pedestrians to jump into nearby bushes to avoid being hit.
According to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on June 29 at approximately 11:05 p.m., when Idaho County Dispatch received a 911 call from a witness. The witness reported seeing a red Dodge Durango being driven recklessly on Main Street in Riggins. The vehicle allegedly drove up onto the sidewalk where three individuals were walking and then continued to follow them into an alleyway.
Following an investigation, an arrest warrant was obtained for Richard German, 57. He was taken into custody on an Idaho County warrant for three counts of felony aggravated assault.
German was booked into the Idaho County Jail.
