Nez Perce County Sheriff Searching for Wanted Man Who Fled Near Red Bird Beach

LEWISTON, ID – The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for 40-year-old Justin Lee Rock, who fled from deputies during an attempted arrest on the evening of July 1, 2025.

Rock was reportedly camping on Red Bird Beach along the Snake River when law enforcement located him around 8 p.m. As officers moved in to arrest him, he fled on foot into a nearby canyon and vanished into dense brush. Despite an extensive search lasting several hours, Rock was not found.

Authorities say Rock has three outstanding warrants in Nez Perce County, including a felony warrant for witness intimidation with a $250,000 bond. The Sheriff’s Office says he also faces misdemeanor warrants for stalking and domestic battery, bringing the total bond amount to $260,500.

At the time he was last seen, Rock was wearing yellow swim trunks, a gray shirt, and no shoes. Anyone who sees him or has information about his whereabouts is urged to call 911 or contact the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office.
