PALOUSE, WA – The City of Palouse is moving forward with a series of upgrades to the community pool, with $136,809 being invested in the project. Planned improvements include a new boiler, upgraded underwater lighting, a new roof, and the conversion of changing rooms to non-gendered spaces. The project will also add a new restroom, maintenance building, and pool mechanical building.
The project is being funded through a grant from the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office, which is contributing $68,404. The City of Palouse is providing matching funds to complete the investment. Construction is expected to enhance safety, accessibility, and the overall experience for pool users.
