KANSAS CITY, MO. – LC State Men’s Basketball earned high praise from the NABC on Monday with six NABC Honors Court members and an NABC Team Academic Excellence Award.
Gorden Boykins repeated as an NABC Honors Court honoree, while Grayson Hunt, John Lustig, Kasen Carpenter, Peyton Nordland and Taden King also took home to accolade.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men’s basketball programs that completed the 2024-25 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men’s basketball players who finished the 2024-25 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
The Warrior Men’s Basketball team concluded the 2024-25 school year with a 3.56 grade point average.
“Proud of these individuals and their work in the classroom and also super pumped for our team to be recognized again,” Coach Austin Johnson said. “We have high standards for our players and program on the court and in the classroom. This recognition is further proof of the quality and character of our student-athletes and academic support offered here at LC.”
