PULLMAN, WA – Washington State University is preparing for the start of the fall 2025 semester with a series of Week of Welcome events taking place throughout August across its campuses.
At WSU Pullman, activities run Aug. 10–16, starting with the Be #PullmanProud Ice Cream Social on Aug. 11 from 3–5 p.m. at the Brelsford WSU Visitors Center. The Student Employment Fair follows on Aug. 12 from 1–3 p.m. in the Compton Union Building. A Pep Rally and New Coug Photo are scheduled for Aug. 13 at GESA Field from 6:45–8 p.m., with attendees encouraged to wear crimson or grey. The week also features University Convocation on Aug. 15 at 10 a.m. in Beasley Coliseum, followed by an All-Campus Picnic and Resource Fair from 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
WSU Spokane’s Week of Welcome takes place Aug. 25–29, highlighted by an all-campus picnic on Aug. 26 from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m., an Involvement Fair on Aug. 27 from noon–1 p.m., and a Donuts for Student Veterans event on Aug. 29. The College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and the College of Medicine will also host white coat ceremonies in Spokane and Yakima ahead of the welcome week.
WSU Vancouver begins the semester with the Wave the Flag event on Aug. 18, followed by Rec Fest on Aug. 19, a Back-to-School Barbecue on Aug. 20, and a Student Job Fair on Aug. 21.
The WSU Global Campus will host its welcome week online Aug. 11–15, including a freshman welcome, academic resource sessions, a virtual game night, and networking events.
WSU Tri-Cities will hold its Welcome Back Convocation on Aug. 20 from 3–4 p.m. at the Cougar Pride Statue Amphitheater, while WSU Everett will host a MESA program BBQ on Aug. 22 from noon–2 p.m. in the campus courtyard.
